Hello Everyone,

We hope you all had a wonderful first day of classes. Each week we will send an email to you with any pertinent information about the week. If this email has been sent to an address other than your preferred one, just let Ciara know and she will change it.

As we begin the summer Modules, there are several important things to mention. There are many more items this week than there will be in coming weeks, so thank you for your attention.

In this email you will find information regarding:

1) Message from the New Assistant Director
2) Individual Meetings with Luke (Echo 10) and Tim (Echo 9)
3) Community Meetings with Colleen
4) Email Your Class Schedules
5) Authorization & Release Form
6) Insurance Update
7) Mass Ministries
8) Evaluations
9) Reminder

1) Message from the New Assistant Director

	Dear Echo Community:

I am grateful and honored to serve as a human, communal, and spiritual formator for Echo. Over the last few days, I have enjoyed meeting Echo apprentices from classes nine and ten. What struck me about these young adults is the warm welcome they offered me from our initial meeting. Serving as a formator for Echo apprentices is a great privilege and responsibility and I could not hope for a more wise and dedicated team to do this valuable work with. I am most excited to support and encourage the ecclesial leadership that Echo apprentices and alumni offer the Church.

Thank you to the Echo and Institute for Church Life communities for your warm welcome, and feel free to stop by Geddes 321 to say hello!

	Tim Pisacich

2) Individual Meetings with Luke (Echo 10) and Tim (Echo 9)

The staff begins each summer by meeting with each of you for 45-60 minutes during Module I. The nature of this meeting is to better get to know all of you in Echo 10 and to check-in with all of you in Echo 9 to see how the summer is going for you, and begin to identify formation goals for the year. Please sign up via Doodle for meetings with Luke or Tim. If you have any issues scheduling a meeting with the times provided, please contact Luke or Tim directly.

3) Community Meetings with Colleen

Each community can sign up for their meeting with Colleen through Doodle.

4) Email Your Class Schedules

Please send a copy of your class schedule to Ciara for both Modules 1 & 2, and be sure to include course numbers. This information will only be used by our staff to help coordinate meeting times and events throughout the summer. If you have other ongoing summer commitments, please include those as well so we know when you are and are not available.

5) Authorization & Release Form

Please submit a signed copy of the University’s Authorization & Release Form to Ciara’s office (Geddes 330) by Friday (6/21). Signing this form authorizes the program to use photos we’ve taken of you on our website and future brochure. If you have any issues with this, please let Ciara know.

6) Insurance Update

Echo 10- If you noticed a charge from Aetna Health Insurance on your student account, please disregard this item. It should have been removed from your account by the end of yesterday, and you do not need to take any further action. The paperwork you submitted to Ciara for health insurance provided the only “opt-out” information the Graduate School needs.

7) Mass Ministries

As you know, we will be gathering for Mass today, Tuesday, June 18 and Thursday, June 20 at 9.00pm in the Siegfried Hall Chapel, and will do so on each of the following Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout Modules I & II.

Tuesday: Lector- Nathan Williams, EM’s: Mary Meleski & another volunteer?

Thursday: Lector- Katie L., EM’s: Amber Weaver & another volunteer?

Tonight: 8:00 p.m.-Sacristan meeting outside Siegfried Hall Chapel with Luke

8) Evaluations

Please fill out an Orientation Evaluation after Mass tonight.

9) Reminder: Community Night Thursday Night

Remember to: email Luke if you’re interested in Mass ministries for tonight or Thursday, email your schedule to Ciara, sign up for both your individual and community meetings as soon as possible, and return a signed copy of the University’s Authorization & Release Form form to Ciara’s office by the end of the week. Thanks for your time!

Peace,

Dear Members of the Echo Community,

I am very happy to announce that Tim Pisacich is joining the Echo staff as Assistant Director of Human, Communal, and Spiritual Formation. Tim received his undergraduate degree from Providence College in Rhode Island, where he was involved in Campus Ministry retreats and RCIA. In the years following his graduation, Tim joined the Jesuit Volunteer Corp as a policy advocate in the Connecticut Juvenile Justice Alliance, served as a high school religion teacher and media specialist, and was an intern for America magazine.

Tim graduated in May of this year from the Master of Divinity program here at Notre Dame where he served in a variety of ministry settings, including Bethlehem Farm in West Virginia, Christ the King Parish and the Stone Soup Community in South Bend, the Center for Social Concerns as a facilitator in the Summer Service Learning Program, the Office of Campus Ministry as a live-in mentor for the Campus Ministry Internship Program, and most recently as Campus Ministry’s first graduate chaplain intern offering spiritual formation to graduate students throughout the Department of Theology. Even more compelling than his broad ministry experience is Tim’s reputation as a generous colleague, a faithful servant leader, and a natural formator.

Tim would like to share the following words with all of you:
