Dear Members of the Echo Community,
I am delighted to announce that Katie Muller will be joining the Echo staff as assistant director. In her new role, Katie will accompany apprentices in all areas of formation, develop and coordinate the program’s Intellectual and Professional-Ministerial Formation, and assist Tim Pisacich in the development of Human, Communal, and Spiritual Formation.
Katie received her undergraduate degree from Marquette University, where she was involved in Campus Ministry retreats and Residence Life. After graduating from Marquette, Katie earned an M.A. in Theology from Notre Dame as a member of the class of “Echo 5,” serving at St. Paul Catholic Church in the Echo partner Diocese of St. Petersburg, FL. As an Echo apprentice, Katie designed and implemented comprehensive middle and high school youth ministry programs, coordinated confirmation preparation, served on the RCIA leadership team, and taught in children’s religious education.
Following her graduation from Echo, Katie became the Director of High School Youth Ministry at her Echo parish and began teaching middle school religion at St. Paul Catholic School, in the areas of Sacred Scripture, Sacraments, Church History, and Catholic Social Teaching. Since her time in Echo, Katie has assisted the Echo staff with Orientation and has also served as an Echo Formation Assistant to the St. Petersburg apprentice communities of “Echo 7” and “Echo 9.” She comes to us most recently from her position as Co-Director of Campus Ministry at Saint Viator High School in Arlington Heights, IL.
Katie brings to Echo not only her valuable leadership experience in a variety of parish ministries, high school campus ministry, and middle school religious education, but also a passion for people and a deep commitment to sharing the faith with all ages and in a variety of apostolates. We are thrilled to welcome Katie to our staff and hope that you will join us in welcoming her as she assumes her assistant director position on December 2, 2013.
